Q: What are the Sugar Land Citizen’s Police Academy Classes?
A: This exciting and free 10 week class for those who live or work in Sugar Land, gives an insight to what it is like to be a Sugar Land Police Officer. Although there is no obligation to volunteer to help, if you complete the class, you may wish to join SLCPAAA or SLCPAAA and CAST (see Q3-Q6 below) and become part of these volunteer teams. Q: How do I sign up for a Sugar Land Citizen’s Police Academy Class?

Q: What is SLCPAAA?
A: The Sugar Land Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association ‘SLCPAAA’ is an organization formed to enhance relations between the community and the Sugar Land Police Department. For more information, see the Sugar Land CPAAA web page, or return to our SLCPAAA Home Page.

Q: How do I join SLCPAAA?
A: First complete the Academy Class (see Q2 above), then submit an application and fee, and after a background check, you will be notified if your application is approved.

Q: When and where do the meetings take place?
A: Meetings are held at the Sugar Land Police Department in the training room on the second Tuesday of each month at 7pm.

Q: Where can I find the SLCPAAA Membership application?
A: Upon completing a Sugar Land Citizens Police Academy class, sign up forms are available.

Q: May I pay my SLCPAAA Annual dues online?
A: Yes, click on the PayPal button below this Q&A list and you may enter your donation online from the PayPal button below.  Or if you have a PayPal account, just may send funds directly to treasurer@slcpaaa.org

Annual Dues are $25 for individual and $20 for any additional family member.  Thank you for your support!

Q: Where can I find information or data on crime in Sugar Land?
A: The Sugar Land PD reports general crime data to RAIDS. You may point your browser to http://raidsonline.com and filter for information near your address. You may also sign up for email reports at intervals and distances from a location that you may configure by yourself.  Just click on Texas on the map and then select Sugar Land from the drop down menu, you can then select crime reporting parameters of interest.
